Exports of agricultural products are growing in Campania, amounting to over 4 billion euros and representing almost a third of the total regional value.

From 16 to 18 September, representatives of the main national wholesale and retail distribution (GDO) groups will visit Naples for a mission organized by the industrial association through the food supply chain sector.

With this event, sponsored by the Campania Region, the aim is to delve deeper into the Consortium’s activity to protect local production and to offer an opportunity for discussion to evaluate market trends, product safety and the technical knowledge underlying quality choices and of production.

The event will take place over two days, with the aim of promoting the excellence of local companies and broadening knowledge of the local artistic and cultural heritage.

The aim of this annual event is also to build a network between the main companies in the area, offering them the possibility of offering their services/products through online presentations that can be viewed at any time.

Promoting distribution agreements with the main organized distribution chains means, in practice, increasing knowledge and visibility of authentic Campania products to increase their distribution and sales.

On Friday 16 September, starting from 2.30 pm, the opening session of the event entitled “Innovation and valorisation of agricultural products for territorial development” will be held at the Industrial Center of Naples (Piazza dei Martiri 58).

Mr. Costanzo Jannotti Pecci, President of the Naples Industrial Federation, will speak.
Gaetano Torrente, president of the food supply chain sector of the Naples Industrial Association.
Vincenzo De Luca, President of Campania.
Gaetano Manfredi, Mayor of Naples.
Matteo Lorito, Rector of the University of Naples Federico II.
Nicola Caputo, Councilor for Agriculture of the Campania Region.
Teresa Armato, Councilor for Tourism and Productive Activities of the Municipality of Naples.
Paolo Ciocca, Head of Research Services, Bnl Bnp Paribas.
